Can I bring my kids?
Yes! Button Mash is all ages until 9pm every night. We start carding at 8:15pm to ensure everyone has enough time to take part in the experience before the cut-off.
Where do I park?
There is free parking in the lot in front of our building, as well as on either side of Sunset Blvd.
Is there a cover charge? Hourly fee to play games?
No! There is no cover charge and all of our games accept Button Mash tokens. Video games cost 1 token, pinball machines 2 tokens.
SoCal arcades have a long and rich token history that we hope to add to. Tokens also allow us to run a variety of promotions to pass along free games to you.
How much are tokens? How do I get them?
Tokens are priced like quarters – 4/$1, 20/$5 etc. They can be purchased from the change machine in the game area or added directly to your tab in $5 or $10 increments.
Will the games accept quarters too? Or other tokens?
Our games will only accept Button Mash tokens. Quarters and tokens from other establishments will not work.
Can I drink in the game areas?
Yes! There is a drink table wedged next to almost every game perfect for setting your drink on.
So is there like food here?
YES! We are a full restaurant! Come hungry!
Are there vegan options on your menu?
Yes! We offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free food choices.
How often will you get new games?
We have a large collection of classic arcade games and pinball machines that we want you to experience. We will be swapping in new games onto the floor regularly so you are sure to see something new almost every time you visit.
Why don’t you have Marvel vs. Capcom or Dance Dance Revolution?
We love Marvel. We’ve been playing Marvel for 15 years, going to Evo to compete, and doing our best Yipes impressions to random strangers on the street. We’ve also been known to get down on the DDR. But we only have so much space on the floor to showcase three decades worth of classic games, so we choose bring you selections you won’t still be able to find at any arcade or laundromat in LA.
Can I make a reservation?
We do offer dinner reservations for parties of 10 or more! You can email [email protected] to inquire about table availability. The latest we offer dinner reservations is 9pm, except on Saturdays when the latest reservation we can offer is for 7:30pm.
How much does a reservation cost?
Instead of a deposit or reservation fee, we have a $25 per person ($20 per child under 12) spending minimum for large party reservations. This can include food, beverages, tokens for the games, and tax, and it is flexible from guest to guest (i.e. if one person spends $50, another could spend nothing at all). If the minimum is not reached, the difference will be added to your bill.
Can I reserve a private room or area away from the rest of the public?
We don’t have private rooms or offer separate party areas. If you’re interested in renting out the entire restaurant, we do offer private rentals outside of our normal operating hours – we can set you up most afternoons between 11am and 4pm, or on Mondays evenings after 4pm. We have seating for roughly 90 guests at a time, with a maximum capacity of 200 guests.
Can I film/have a photoshoot there?
We offer rent-outs for filming and photoshoots Tuesday-Friday with a hard out of 3pm, or Saturday-Sunday with a hard out of 2pm. We’re closed the the public on Mondays, so full-day and evening shoots can be an option then as well.
